You can now view the brochure advertising the main speakers and themes of the Red Star Festival.
Organised as a collaboration between the Communist Party, Morning Star – the people’s newspaper and Marx Library, the Festival this year, is also supported by a range of solidarity organisations.
The Festival takes place in and around Marx Library in the heart of historic Clerkenwell, with Farringdon station close by.
Speakers, many sharing a platform for the first time, will include Jeremy Corbyn MP, Obed Thembinkosi Mlaba Current High Commissioner of South Africa, Rahana Azam GMB National Organiser for the NHS, Zoe Hennessey
General secretary of Young Communist League and Romayne Phoenix of the People’s Assembly and Green Party.
There are rallies, a roundtable, debates, briefings and an unmissable birthday bash to celebrate the 85th anniversary of the first issue of the Morning Star.
Themes and topics include the politics of housing, trade union freedoms, terror and the Middle East, women in the economy, arguments against fascism, equality in sport, learning Marxism, defending the NHS, Southern Africa, building youth movements, support for the people of Greece, Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners and so much more.
